London 2014

The beginning of our trip we managed to get the new business class seats and face forward on the flight to London. It is a much better way to fly and so nice to land 9 hours later and not sore on one side.

Walking the London Markets April 16, 2014

Our First stop was Camden Market in London. It was busy when we got there. I feel that it might not be as it had once been when it first opened. It felt more like a tourist destination and not really the original market that it had once been. There were a few interesting shops but nothing that truly stood out.

The next shot is Angel Tube station that has the longest escalator of all the stations. We decided to walk out of the station and see what was in the area. So glad we did we found yet another street market.

THe market we found was Chapel street Market it was only a few blocks long but a nice surprise to find.

While walking we found this interesting sculpture. Think it had something to do with the name of the local Tube station Angel.

London October 2013

The view from our hotel room. You can see the London eye and the Shard in the background

St. Pancras right across from Kings Cross Tube station. This is the train station that you can take the Eurostar through the Chunnel

Interesting to see these big trains just sitting there and to see the shops right below almost like those pillars aren't big enough to hold the weight of 3 trains.

Eating lunch right beside the trains before leaving on a trip.

The walk to see the Shard

Random display under a train bridge so nice to see art displayed in places you would think to look.

Just down the street from the Shard.

Walking over London Bridge to see the Shard from the other side of the Thames.

Think the curved building is the one that was on the news this summer. It was mentioned to have melted parts of cars and windows from the way it reflected the sunlight into a beam.

Random street shots

Yes it is the Tardis!! Found it at Earl's Court station just 2 stops away from our hotel

A couple of night shots after dinner near Westminster University
